The George Hotel Colchester

Free Wi-Fi was great, but the prices at dinner were surprisingly high.

We had a suite which was high-class and air-conditioned.

We loved brilliant food.

The bed was comfortable, but the stairs were quite steep.

Lovely little hotel, neat, with very helpful staff at the reception desk. Location: unbeatable and nice, short walk to walking distance to plenty of bars, Colchester Castle Museum and transport. Besides, easy to get to Colchester Arts Centre.

In the centre of the city, very convenient.

The bar was great. We loved the cocktails and cozy vibe.

Hotel was clean, food was excellent, staff very helpful

Parking was down a very narrow roadway, even residents had to pay to park. No exceptions for Blue Badge Holders. Sad very sad.

The staff are pleasant and amiable, managed the parking onsite.

I found a few stray hairs in the shower tray.

The Hotel was very smart and clean.

We had to order the breakfast twice because they lost our order and when we finally got it,it wasn't all that good.Also we booked full board but they charged me extra for dinner without my knowledge after we had left the not and after I had shown them

Fab hotel, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room great, we especially loved the old character of the building. It's very central, but without being noisy, a really easy walk to castle park which is very pretty.

The staff were friendly and the location to the town and shopping was sweet. It was great. The bathtub was very big and injoyable.

The Hotel was over priced the room was cold the heating did not work in the room. The bath room was over all clean and tidy but the bath looked old with stains.
